Madison’s First Queer Comedy Show “Comes Out”

Madison, WI – September 5, 2014

Madison has it’s first and only Queer Comedy Show, namely Alphabet Soup Show featuring world class stand up comedy with local, regional and national talent.  Alphabet Soup Comedy Show is a full spectrum queer show that is produced and hosted by Madison based Dina Nina Martinez, a transgender stand up comic, who was recently named one of the “40 Hot Queer Women in Comedy” by the website

“Although there’s a lot of great comedy in Madison, I felt like the LGBTQ community was under-represented. I wanted to change that.” said Martinez.  And she is changing that, one queer comedian at a time.  But don’t think that it’s only queer comics, there’s a proud contingent of allies who lend their funny to this show. Martinez adds,  “This show is for everyone, make that everyone over 21! I may be part of the queer community but I’m not narrow.  We love our heterosexual and cisgender allies and welcome them to both be a part of the show as well as come see some great stand up comedy…”

The show currently runs monthly at Plan B, 924 Williamson St., Madison, WI 53704

The next show is September 19th at 7:00 pm with Headliner Kelsie Huff from Chicago.
