Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance.  Today and everyday I am honoured to recognize and remember my sisters and brothers who have gone before me and who have stood beside me in this struggle.  Let not their sacrifices be in vain.  Let their lives and their passing spur us on towards the good fight.  Let their lights that have been snuffed out prematurely provide us with joy in the journey and a flame inside of us that allows us to push foward toward liberty, equality and justice.

TRANSDORHere is a picture that I compiled of some of those who have made the ultimate scarifice to be who they were.  The deaths range from being shot, being found in a pond tied to a cement block, to being shot and thrown in a dumpster and being burried under rocks.  The accounts are not only hair raising, but deplorable accounts of hatred and fear.  This must end.

Our visibility over the years has been the only thing that has proliferated understanding.  I am on a quest to spread the message of equality and understanding.  I am just like you, you are just like me.
